This old 1200m² ground floor warehouse, built in 1980 had been left empty for some years and the owners approached me looking for a cutting-edge design for their new showroom to showcase their appliances. While I embraced the existing structure I wanted to compliment the shell by modernising it to provide a modern industrial styling to allow the appliances when displayed to pop. The existing facade was changed from the existing cream face brick to apply metal cladding to modernise it plus applying old recycled clinker brick facings to the existing bricks. These clinker brick faces were also scattered through the interiors to enhance the industrial contemporary styling.
